Courage.

When I talk about courage here, no, I’m not trying to prove myself by asking you to gain courage to jump from a cliff, or swim in a sea of depth 1000m.

When I talk about courage, I talk about changing yourself. Courage give us the ability to leap over bounds, to overpower yourself, and to cross the line to the other side where the sun is brighter. Courage is that.

Many of times we do not believe courage because we feel that it is best to always stay the same, this always. Sometimes I think that by doing that, it would be better for everyone, to heed what the elders say, to listen to them and to always do what they tell you to and what nots.

The truth is that, I’m just giving myself an excuse. Because I do not have the courage to confront, to ask, to say, to mean, to convince, to do what I really want and what that is best for me. Alot of times its like that, in love, in life, in decisions, in what you do. That is why Im never growing up. That is why I haven’t found what I really are. That is why Im not living out myself.  Courage is really all about taking a step out of yourself to pursue your dreams. Its not about being a replica of someone else just to please that person and to think that: Oh, its the best like that because there are no arguments, and everything will stay at peace.

Today Im talking so much about courage. Because I sincerely feel that if you never have that courage to overcome what’s stopping you to do what you want, you’ll never find satisfaction. There is really no point at all to stop your courage just because it’s for someone else’s good. I don’t mean that you do not heed other’s advice when you have courage. You have the courage to listen and to do. You have the courage to clear facts out to prove what your point really is. Not that you don’t listen at all. Have courage. Have the courage to overcome the scoldings, the disapprovals, the unhappiness, the pretends. You need courage to grow up, not to pretend.

Remember, it is only when you have the courage that you really becomes you, that you really grow up. Nothing will stop your way if you have courage, if you have the courage to be really yourself.

From tomorrow, I’ll have courage.
